Night Owl Reviews gave 3.5 stars to Eros, My Love. According to their ratings, a 3.5 means ‘Enjoyable’. I especially like this line in the review: “…it’s a fast read, a quick kiss just before bed!” I’m glad they liked my short story because they gave my first novel A Rose to the Fallen 5 stars and made it a Top Pick. Actually…they reviewed it twice! Two different reviewers read the story. I want to send thanks to Erona Diane Hill for giving Eros, My Love a great review.

I recently read this long and nasty review for A Rose to the Fallen on Amazon. I had to respond because I don’t appreciate people spewing lies about me. I don’t care if some people don’t like me, my attitude, my actions, or my book. That’s why I don’t usually blog about my critics. If I cared enough about their negative opinion, I would give them my attention. When you’re an author, you put yourself out there to be judged by people. You can judge me and my work… but don’t tell disparaging lies about me because if I read about it… I WILL call you out on your bullshit. Get your FACTS straight BEFORE you state your opinion, otherwise you sound like a fucking idiot. My website exists so people can know about me, what I’m doing, what I’ve done, and my work. It would do my critics good to actually read it before they start talking out of their asses.

Today I received a review for A Rose to the Fallen from Alicia at Shooting Stars Mag. She liked the book and gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I’m so glad she emphasized the fact that my book is Adult because some people are under the wrong impression it’s Young Adult. I wanted to make a post about some things coming down the pike. I’m anticipating two reviews for A Rose to the Fallen. I spoke to each of the reviewers and I think their reviews will be positive so I’ll be posting them here. The most exciting news I want to share is that Tiffany D. is currently reading my second novel The Howling Heart and she might create a mock trailer for it. I spoke to her recently and she’s enjoying the story so far. Tiffany did an amazing job on her mock trailer for A Rose to the Fallen and I can just imagine what she’d create for The Howling Heart. Stay tuned!

December has been a slow month for news. I guess because I’m not writing anymore and not doing any book signings. Plus, I haven’t seen any new reviews. The month is coming to a close and so is 2009. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has read A Rose to the Fallen and liked it enough to send me emails and leave reviews and comments on various book sites, my blog, and MySpace. I truly appreciate it and I’m glad people are enjoying Tristan & Bridget’s love story. I’m still surprised when people tell me my book is their favorite. I even have some Tristan fangirls which is really amazing. A Rose to the Fallen has been released for a year now and it’s been wonderful meeting so many readers online. I hope 2010 brings bigger and greater things. Read more »
