I posted some new reviews I received for Eros, My Love and my first review for Right Here, Right Now. They’re all on the Reviews page. I want to thank Heather, MBR, and Angeline at Guilty Pleasure Book Reviews for reading my short stories and giving them good reviews.
Night Owl Reviews gave 3.5 stars to Eros, My Love. According to their ratings, a 3.5 means ‘Enjoyable’. I especially like this line in the review: “…it’s a fast read, a quick kiss just before bed!” I’m glad they liked my short story because they gave my first novel A Rose to the Fallen 5 stars and made it a Top Pick. Actually…they reviewed it twice! Two different reviewers read the story. I want to send thanks to Erona Diane Hill for giving Eros, My Love a great review.
My first review for Eros, My Love comes from Sizzling Hot Book Reviews. They gave it 3 hearts, which means ‘Good! Read it when you can.’ I want to thank Stacey for reading my short story and giving it a good review.
Today is the official release date of my first short story Eros, My Love.
I’m so excited because it’s been three years since I released a book. If you decide to purchase it, I hope you enjoy it. The e-book is $1.99 on most sites. I updated my site and changed the Novel page to “Books” so I could showcase my novel and my short story. I included a few buy links for Eros, My Love, and added a link for Goodreads. My publisher informed me that distributors like the iBookstore has an internal review process of their own, and my title should hopefully be available for sale there within a month. Lightning Source distributes to various retailers within a couple of weeks, such as the Sony eBookstore. I emailed over 20 book review sites yesterday, so I hope to receive some reviews soon. And of course, I hope to get some on Amazon too. Gotta love those reviews.
My short story Eros, My Love will be released on 9/16/2011 in e-book. There’s a product page on Summerhouse Publishing’s website that includes the synopsis and an excerpt. I asked my publisher what other retailers will sell my e-book, so I know what buy links I need to add when I update my site. I’m pretty sure Amazon will be one of them.
My publisher just sent me the e-book cover for my short story Eros, My Love. They designed it, but I was lucky enough to choose the couple who represent Eros & Gabrielle. I think the cover is romantic with a touch of fantasy, and the city background keeps with the modern-day story setting. I can’t wait to see it on Summerhouse Publishing’s website. No release date has been set, but as soon as I know, I’ll post an update.

I have some great news to share today. My short story Eros, My Love will be sold to Summerhouse Publishing. I’m in the process of getting the paperwork completed to begin the publishing process. I also have to register the copyright. I’m so excited! After the rejections I received last month, I was about to give up on querying and just concentrate on getting The Howling Heart published. But I decided to give it another try, so I queried Summerhouse last Friday. They contacted me today and said they were interested in offering me a contract. I hope everything goes well and I can’t wait to see what the e-book cover will look like. I love graphic design and I have a special appreciation for book covers. I’ll post another update when I have more news. Stay tuned!
Last month I posted an excerpt from my unpublished short story Eros, My Love. I have to give thanks to one of my readers Andrea for introducing me to a man who perfectly embodies my physical interpretation of Eros. He’s a Dutch Canadian model named David Emmerzael. I think he has an ethereal beauty and closely resembles the way I wrote the Greek god of Love in my short story. Thanks again, Andrea! Now I have seen male models who look like all 3 of my heroes!

When I first laid eyes upon the young man in the portrait, he mesmerized me. Eros’ pale alabaster skin and platinum blond hair gave him an albino appearance but he had undeniable beauty. He had an ethereal face, eyes the most vibrant shade of blue, and a slender body etched with sinewy muscles. The only inhuman aspects about him were his large feathered wings painted in honey gold.
